IN GOOD HANDS FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS

Waking up to a warm Sunday morning by the blaring speakers from a light blue ISUZU pick up. Words of thanks blaring out “ Thank you people of Ang Mo Kio GRC. Thanks U for your support. …………. So noisy ,so noisy. Its SUNDAY loh . Why must they wake me up so early in the morning? They can actually thanks us by giving us another Progess Package loh. Where to get the money u might ask ? The money that was supposed to be use as a carrot bait to tempt supporters. Total of about $180 million.

The residents of Hougang and Potong Pasir didn’t succumb to the temptation. Why didn’t they take the bite? I guess this is what loyalty is all about. After all I am in the AMK GRC loh… It’s the Prime Minster’s GRC. They should also show us their support for we did give him a strong mandate loh. 66 odd percentage . Strong leh. Wonder why when I was younger, when I tell mummy that I scored 66 marks in the exams, she still scold me and nag at me. 66 marks not high enough ah? Hmm if only election was held during the time of exams. I could have told her that even the PM says it is high loh.

The night before, together with a few of my friends. We dropped by at one of my friends place after dinner. We were all so excitedly glued to the TV. We were of cos watching the ELECTION 06 live. Seriously I never knew that my friends actually bother watching the results. There we were sipping red wine and smoking. I meant they were smoking . I was just sipping red wine only. When the results for the Hougang single seat ward was read out. A mini roar broke out around the living room. A mini stadium. Shouts of Workers P , Workers P rang out. This happens because my friends will be moving to Hougang area soon.

As for me , I showed no emotion at all. I was thinking at that time that the ruling party has just save a couple of million dollars and whether I will get my Progress Package 2.

NEEDLES, INJECTION & PAIN


Since I was a little kid , I am always afraid of pain. I cant take pain at all. Even if I get a little cuon my finger, I will feel like dying. I am afraid of needles, that y I dun do drugs. Hahaha. Remember, when you are in primary school? They will make you go for some jabs on your arms to “see “ whether you are FIT to take the stupid BCG jab that leaves a raisin size mark on your left arm. Honestly till know I dun know what does it stands for. The most common term I know is Boys Chase Girl. I think it sounds crappy.

Usually I will be the last one in the queue when we go for jabs in school. I will push everyone to the front and I will quietly slip behind the queue.

So can u imagine me going to get a tattoo? Yes, paying someone whom I don’t really know to inflict pain on my body. We went to WTC at Bangkok in the morning on a Friday. The Shopping mall was under some major construction. We were told that the tattoo shop that we were looking for have shifted to the mall opposite WTC. Its call the Big C.

Finally after sweating like a pig under the hot sun in Bangkok , we found the parlor. Its call Tattoo in Bangkok. Its was 11am and the shop was still closed. We went to walk around the mall and have some drinks at Grand Cayon Coffee house for some drinks. Went back there at around 2 pm. We then looked around the pictures and designs books
Lying around on the neat tables. Finally I decided to get a Gemini twin symbol ,which was encircled by a tribal sun. Its cost about 3000 bath. Its only around 100 Sing dollars. I think it is rather Cheap compare to Singapore. WE stayed there for at least 3 hours before we left. I told them that I will come back on Monday evening to get my first tattoo done.

The few days before the BIG day, I couldn’t sleep well at all. I dun know what the reason was. Maybe its

1) My Parents will probably kill me if they know I got a tattoo
2) I am so afraid of the pain that I will feel like dying all over again
3) I am so afraid that I might be scared for life
4) I am so afraid that my skin will sag over time. And my tattoo will sag too.
